Rally for Healthcare Insurance Reform - THIS FRIDAY

Local Notes and Events
Posted by WhosPlayin on 2009/9/3 7:00:00 (663 reads)

From South Denton County Democrats:
Health Care Insurance Reform Rally at Congressman Michael Burgess’s Office

Friday, September 4th. 3:30 – 6:00 pm
1660 Stemmons Freeway in Lewisville
NE corner of I-35 and Corporate, the 4 story brown building.

We need a large showing of people between 4:00 and 5:00 PM. It is the kickoff of a holiday weekend, so drive-by traffic will be heavy!

Bring your sign, or use one of ours. Prepare for a Texas summer day: wear a hat, bring sunscreen, stay hydrated. A blanket or chair for sitting is ok too. Children are welcome.

Please note that Congressman Burgess's office is in a privately owned commercial building whose management is perfectly willing to accept your tax dollars for rent, but will not let you step foot on their property or park in their lot. There will be no restroom facilities.

Afterwards, some of us will meet informally for dinner or drinks at Razoo’s.

Even if you don’t live in Congressional District 26, please join us for this demonstration of support of Health Care reform.
