Here's how this photo works:

Every time Michael Burgess says or votes something stupid or un-American, I post the link to it in this write-up. So, if you see the dunce picture at the top of the list of pictures, check it out, and see what I've added to the bottom.

In yet another non-partisan policy analysis, Texas Congressman Michael Burgess has scored an F.

Conducted by the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, this Congressional Scorecard gives Burgess a score of 0 and a grade of F for his votes that clash with the Middle Class position.

Is it his privileged upbringing, or perhaps the money that keeps rolling in from Big Oil, Pharma, and the Telecom and Cable industries? In any case, he voted the exact opposite of what would benefit the average middle-class citizen of North Texas.

If you're a regular reader, you may remember that he also flunked the Sierra Club scorecard along with both of our Texas Senators and most of our Representatives.

At Whosplayin, we seem to regularly receive reports of political tomfoolery and downright despicable votes by Michael Burgess.

His votes are inexplicable at times, but he's not an unintelligent person. He is a gentleman that has perhaps been unduly influenced by Washington, and the facts-be-damned dogma of the Republican Party. I think the new photo is better. It's still somewhat comedic, but more to the point. It's not that Burgess causes disaster. It's that he stands idly by and allows it while denying it. His votes could be put to such good use if he would stand up and vote his true conscience.
