Nope, this is one of several suggestions provided by the city to the CPANA neighborhood group, which is looking to spend some private money on something for the community.

I do think these look much nicer than the trailer signs the city currently uses, but $30K each seems pretty high to me.

Yes, for SURE they look better than those other signs. Why do we need two? Do you know what they have planned if anything for the big chunk of area there in the front of MP?

As far as I know, that field in front of Memorial Park is intended as just plain old "open space". You can fly kites, race model cars, have festivals, park cars or just about anything.

Our Parks Director, Bob Monaghan likes the concept of keeping a certain amount of open space.

BTW, the idea would be for two signs at different locations - just to catch all the traffic.
