Ken Leach, Democratic Candidate for U.S. Representative in the 26th district of Texas. Six Democratic candidates were on hand at a gas station today talking with voters.
Leach washed windshields and told voters that was the most he could do for them at the pump until they sent him to Washington.
Democratic Candidates for U.S. Congress in North Texas spoke today at the Fuel City gas station in Dallas about plans to reduce fuel prices, and called upon the GOP incumbents to "stop the bull on oil prices".

After speaking with press, the candidates went to the nearby gas pumps and talked to motorists who had come in to fuel up.
Every time Michael Burgess says or votes something stupid or un-American, I post the link to it in this write-up. So, if you see the dunce picture at the top of the list of pictures, check it out, and see what I've added to the bottom. -Steve
Conducted by the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, this Congressional Scorecard gives Burgess a score of 0 and a grade of F for his votes that clash with the Middle Class position.
Is it his privileged upbringing, or perhaps the money that keeps rolling in from Big Oil, Pharma, and the Telecom and Cable industries? In any case, he voted the exact opposite of what would benefit the average middle-class citizen of North Texas.
If you're a regular reader, you may remember that he also flunked the Sierra Club scorecard along with both of our Texas Senators and most of our Representatives.
At Whosplayin, we seem to regularly receive reports of political tomfoolery and downright despicable votes by Michael Burgess.
Here are some of the various posts from WhosPlayin where his misdeeds, idiocy, ethical lapses and poor judgement are enumerated:
Texas Historical Marker in Smith Cemetery in Lewisville, TX.
"This area of Denton County was known as Holford's Prarie in the Mid 19th century, name for brothers John and James Halford (Holford), Pioneer settlers who obtained 640 acres of land as members of the Peters Colony. Basdeal W. Lewis Platted the town of Lewisville in 1853.
Thomas Morgan (1814 - 1887) and Elizabeth A. (1815 - 1883) Smith purchased 318 acres of land here in 1859. The sold two and one half acres of their farmland to the Lewisville Masonic Lodge in 1881 for the establishment of a community cemetery. The site had been used as a burial ground since 1862, when the smiths' 20-year-old son, James J. Smith died and was buried on the family farm. His is the earliest marked grave in the Smith Cemetery.
Among the pioneer Denton County family names that can be seen on gravestones here are Herod, Sherrill, Clayton, Skillern, Cobb, Jenkins, Temple, Bourland, Hamilton, Fenlaw, Oliver, and Fox. John Moore (1834-1922) and Ann Eliza (1849-1923) Fox had the sad task of burying six children here between 1863 and 1882, a testament to the often harsh conditions of pioneer life. Local oral history records suggest that some of the unmarked graves in the Smith cemetery are those of former slaves of the Julius Kane Fox family.
The Smith Cemetery Association, organized in 1950 to maintain the historic graveyard, purchased the site from the masonic lodge in 1972. Currently containing more than 400 marked graves and an unknown number of unmarked ones, the cemetery remains in use by the community and by descendants of the pioneer families interred here."
This was taken 6/10/08 at Wayne Ferguson plaza in Lewisville, TX. Hundreds of Lewisvillians turned out to hear "All Funk Radio Show". They're a great group. Definitely lots of booty shakin' going on.
This photo was taken at the 2008 Texas Democratic Convention's Blogger's Caucus party. From left to right: That's me (WhosPlayin), "Refinish69", and John McClelland (Candidate for State Rep).
That is just a glass of cold apple juice in my hand - I SWEAR! :D
