Hillary Supporters Betray Democrats - WTF?!

Category: The Editor's Column : Zen by Jen :

I'M SO PISSED! 27% of Hillary supporters voting for McCain

Remember this spring? There were primaries and caucuses in which Hillary received an estimated 18 million votes. Hillary did not get the required number of votes to clinch the nomination; whereas, Barack Obama did. Therefore Barack Obama is the presumptive Democratic nominee for U.S. President. We all know this story... Yada, yada, yada, so forth, let's get on with it. Moving on.

What I don't understand is how, per CNN 5 minutes ago, "27% of Hillary supporters will be voting for John McCain." WTF? I mean, REALLY!!! What are they thinking??? What is WRONG with these people?!

Are they still so stuck in their misguided and self-serving belief that Hillary was ENTITLED to the Presidential nomination, and are still so sore that she couldn't pull it off?

Do these pro-Hillary/anti-Obama delusionals realize they are traitors to their own ideals - the ideals of the Democratic Party? Do they realize their sour grapes are putting the COUNTRY at risk?! What has happened to their rationality? They are running on pure spiteful emotion - there couldn't possibly be any logic to it, it makes no sense! WHY support the opposing point of view?

IF you are one of these Democratic Party and Ideals Traitors, please tell me why. Please tell me why it is that you would rather put the SUPREME COURT in jeopardy than to vote for the man that beat your beloved Hillary. Tell me why it is you would vote a Democratic canditate into Congress, hoping to send them to Washington to "do the right thing - vote the right way" and then give veto power to yet another republican President. Tell me WHY you would rather have *AT LEAST* 4 MORE YEARS OF BUSH BULLSHIT than to do the right damn thing and vote for your ideals.

Tell me, I need to know. I NEED to understand. Or maybe it's you that needs to understand what you're really doing and to whom you are doing it. The rest of us, your country men and women, your Democratic family, your family, your neighbors, your co-workers, your kids and grandkids... WE, the ones that would suffer if your vote pushed the election over to McCain. WE, including yourself, would suffer under McCain's administration because of your less than inspired vote. WE are the ones you hurt - not Obama.

(It reminds me of rabid things my mom used to do to get back at me for one thing or another. Oh, I'll show you, Mr. Obama when I vote for McCain and he continues with Bush Bullshit Policies! -Geez!)

Just think about it. You are not hurting Obama. Think about what you're doing! Please. Think about who you're betraying.

 Democrats or democratic?
"I don't belong to an organized political party, I'm a democrat." (thanks to Will Rogers)

I doubt I can really answer those questions, but I have a hunch that I can share. I don't think things are as bad as the news tells us, they have to fill up 24 hours of air time. I think that the statement made by the Clintons answered the question, they completely and fully support Obama, even the ONE time this was read on the air it was ignored and treated like a joke. It just doesn't fuel any fires. All the folks that make up the endless political repeating(not reporting) on CNN and all cable channels can only make money by creating news. In the time since Hillary stopped campaigning, she has been actively working to support Obama, and I expect Bill will probably help out with this as well. Obama and Bill need to mend some fences, and Obama needs to stop ignoring Bill's Presidency, by harking back to Reagan as a hero. Reagan was no hero to everyday Americans. Most Democrats know that and many wonder why he doesn't acknowledge the importance of the Clinton years. Just a couple of sentences would have been (or maybe will be) enough to make amends. I will reserve my judgement for this after the DNC is complete, because right now we not getting the real story just a some talking heads filling the air waves. It took some time for all of party to finally get behind another young candidate, in fact some never did, he won anyway (of course-JFK). Take Heart - McCain is his own worst enemy, and most of the polls strongly disagree with the one CNN is reporting. With the addition of Joe Biden, a very good man, and not a man grown rich from years in the Senate, we will win this election.
